The idea is to start a sports only newspaper in the UK. Considering their interest in sports is difficult to understand how such a specializes daily newspaper has not surfaced.
It is true that the top newspapers cover the sports issues and events widely, but considering the Spanish experience and success , it is logical to presume that such a project would be a success in the UK considering that the number od readers in the <uk is larger than in Spain in general.
All ideas have resistance of not having been done before and there are no experts but , the first time could prove a killer app in the real world.

This idea is free for all the top papers in the UK, such as the Sun the Guardian the Daily mail, the Mirror, the Times, the Independent., the Telegraph.. etc
In Spain the leading sports newspaper Marca with readership someweeks as much 0,46 Million has more readers than the top newspaper el Pais with o,44 Million readership or more. There are over 10 sports newspapers in Spain.

Last year 2007 the top 3 sports daily newspapers readerships were for Marca 0,34 Million, for AS 0,24 Million, Sport with 0,10 and for Mundo Deportivo 0,09 Million.

It’s very surprising… no wide sports related while Marca (sports) is already the most read newspaper in Spain. Even more, Marca is so similar to the sensationalist press that succeeds in the UK.
