The problem:
All motor vehicles release pollutants into the air, through the exhaust fumes that come out of the tailpipe when the engine operates. The pollutants exhausted by the motor vehicle include Carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, particles, volatile organic compounds and sulfur dioxide (SO2). Upper respiratory problems and lung damage are mostly due to content of Hydrocarbons and Nitrogen-Oxide in air we inhale.
Then what's the solution?
Unless we all start reducing use of motor vehicle, pollution cannot be controlled. which is practically not possible!
My IDEA:
All the pollutants released by the motor vehicles are all gases, we can convert these dangerous gases to useful liquid fuels, by the phenomenon Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) which is a refinery process to convert natural gases to liquid fuels and other hydrocarbons to longer-chain hydrocarbons, for example using the Fischer Tropsch or Mobil process we can convert some of the gaseous waste products into valuable fuel oils.
Like:
Hydrogen gas can be converted to liquid Hydrogen under pressure.
Methan gas can be converted to Methonel
Water to Vapour and so on...............
By attaching an apparatus to the tailpipe that collects all the pollutants from the tailpipe and converts the pollutants to a crude liquid by Gas-to-Liquid phenomenon.
