(61465) Changing Worlds: Built on interactive museums

Museums are considered to be places which need to be given a visit to re-connect with the past. A place where textual learning is corroborated with ancient artefacts which bear a testimony to those times.

But what if history had changed its course?  How would it be if we had to co-exist with the dinosaurs! Or how would we look had neanderthals cross-bred more with humans!

This is the possibility that can be explored when we visit the museums!

My idea is to create virtual applications for the artefacts present in a museum such that a user could interact with the applications to create scenarios which are non-existent. These interactive applications would help users create scenarios by helping them alter the chronological sequence of events in history. A logical alteration of the sequence would be encouraged! This would create an active interest in people to explore more about the history behind it. An information display about those artefacts would also augment their knowledge to a great extent and we would have a more interested crowd eager to learn history rather than a huge group waddling from one point to another making their visits to the museums a perfunctory function!

An extrapolation of this incredible idea would be to change the tense. Instead of predicting an alternate present from a certain past, we could predict various possible future scenarios from the present.

What i mean is that we know how the present world looks like. If we are able to achieve Interactive museums, we will have the capability to predict what the future may be if we continue to live like this. We could also add various constraints and variables to see how things change. This brings political uncertainties, policy decisions, environmental policy, economic strategies, etc into the fray. This will be a definitive tool for morality to triumph political un-will. There will be visual proof for the common man to see what changes what and to make sure he actively participates in the decisions that change the world and becomes an active citizen.
