I have come across lot of piezoelectric based ideas. How about a "HAT" with a piezoelectric based energy conversion made possible? Such hats will be useful during the rainy season when you cannot get away without a hat or an umbrella or a rain coat. The greatest pressure of the falling drops is on the head and so the hat can harvest energy. I, suppose, the heaviness factor can spoil its usefulness. The day, the piezoelectric devices become thinner enough possibly by the use of nanoribbons and all that, we can hope for such useful devices to come to the market

I guess, we can have bigger versions for cars, buses etc in such a way they can be removed once the rainy season is over.

Please evaluate this suggestion.
