(71) Evil cats!

Shake it Thumb this up Digg this idea Save on delicious Share on Facebook

Our neighbourhood is plagued by cats - its seems every house except ours has at least one so of course they all use our garden to crap in.  In the summer especially it stinks so much it makes you feel ill - plus they scare all the birds away.  Any ideas to keep them away?

cats in the garden are a night mare!! although not that attractive it is effective for some reason that if you save you cola or lemoade bottles and fill them with water and leave them around the area it deters the cats!

Well, one solution could be to get a dog, simple but sometimes it does not work as in cartoons... Other solution, that I've tried with dogs is to use pepper... simple ground pepper is too strong for the cats... Spray all the wall surroundings with a bit of pepper every feet or so...

This solution was succesfull with keeping dogs from peeing on berry's plants that were severely affected by the animals pee on them... I used a bit of simple pepper and everytime the dog approached the tree, he... wel... it was just as cartoons... after a while, the dog never tried again...

Hope it works for you...

Dear Rae, I recently tilled and removed tons of cat crap out of my garden area...I tilled the soil with some old coffee grounds & egg shells like the old saying goes...I have not seen any cat doo since I started this. I hope you can use it.
