A hotel can prosper or fail on the basis of it's ability to provide the comforts of home that it's guests expect. However, the vast majority of them provide only the most basic and functional furniture and fixtures that will permit easy cleaning and maintenance between occupancies... to the degree that the rooms become a place that is often cold, sterile, homogenised and unwelcoming to the guest.Of course, the reason for this is in the main, because they are businesses, which must make a profi...

Having recently embarked upon researching some family history, one thing immediately struck me about the information in the documents I was looking through... and that was the average numbers of children each couple had up to the end of the first quarter of the twentieth century... frequently seven or eight kids were registered as born to each couple. The reason why soon became horribly apparent when I observed how many of these children died within their first years, often as many as eighty ...

This idea takes into account only the aspects of LEGAL migration, and does not include issues of border policing and enforcement with respect to ILLEGAL immigration- It also does not cover the issue of ASYLUM, this being a matter better suited to a more ethical stance which a nation may adopt in this regard.Global economic migration is one of the big issues of the day for many nations around the world. This will only become more of an issue as globalisation begins to take hold to an ever great...

Eliminate tax revenues entirely on Fuel duty for farmer's and fishermen's equipment.... and that's it.By singling out these two groups for tax exemption on fuel, the cost of living across the entire economy reduces, and spurs growth. If the cost of bringing produce to market is reduced to these sectors, the cost of food can be reduced without impacting on profit or the farmer's or fisherman's finances, who are taxed on their own profits of their produce anyway, meaning...

[IDEAS TO MAKE IDEAS4ALL BETTER]

Just an observation for the site administrators:As the number of contributing members grows, so the likelyhood of ideas being posted also grows, and with greater frequency... it then follows that the time an idea stays visible on the 'front end' of the site diminishes in direct correlation to this increase in contributing members, and as a result, the amount of views each idea gets also reduces, as more so the comments and votes. The more this becomes the case, the more those&...

I had a look on wikipedia and out of interest tried a search, but could not find Ideas4all.I don't know enough about Ideas4all to be qualified to write the article, and admit am not familiar with how to do so anyway... but many people search there for things, and with key word searches such as 'idea' would find a link to such a page for an article for this site in the disambiguation of the term, potentially leading thousands of people to this site to share ideas.Perhaps someone in admin could...

Ideo-GenesisJust as the Salmon makes it's way up stream in spring to find the still waters of it's youth, so that it may propagate the next generation of it's kind, an Idea must find those favourable conditions in the cooler recesses of our minds that are the calm pools of nourishment and ease, where it may develop through meditation from the egg to the embryo, undisturbed by the strong currents of the raging torrents of modern life, and the many distractions may thwart it's growth, or even c...

In order to stop unlicensed and uninsured people driving cars, and posing a risk to other road users, and at the expense of other drivers in the event of an accident, I propose the issuing of a petrol licence, sent only to those who have bought insurance, so that the petrol stations can only activate the pumps for those with a valid 'insured card' with the photo of the owner and the registration of the car they own on it.This could entitle only these people to buy petrol, and therefore prohib...

Recently a new wind farm was opened very near to where I live off the Kent coast. One of many new and prospective projects designed to harness more of the energy we need from renewable sources... from wind, solar and hydro-electric marine turbines, and in conjunction with increased energy efficiency in the use of the power they generate and micro generative sources that individual households use themselves. But the principle problems surrounding these methods of energy production, and the argu...

Where the International Monetary Fund ( IMF) and World Bank Economic Organisations exist to address Concerns of the Various Participating nations , Which are Solely based on man -made Economic problems ( loans, defecitsetc . ), I think is needed to fund Specifically, and Solely for the relief and recovery Expenses of natural disasters .So I Propose the creation of just Such a fund , Perhaps Administered by the UN, or by one of the Organisations Mentioned above , Which Is Used for No Other Tha...
