I have never understood why no one has yet to invent a combined platform that has an inlet for generating wave energy as well as a wind turbine for creating wind energy offshore. I have seen mockups of both individually but not yet combined. Surely it is better to kill two birds with one when it comes to the environment and generating energy.
Everybody knows those gadgets you put in your belt which make use of you movements while walking to tell you the distance you have walked. Everybody also knows watches who take your movement energy to work. Why not making a gadget to charge batteries, mobile phones, PDAs, just by using your movements while walking?

Hi,Now a days we are going through a tough time on the electricity (India). We use lot of street lights even if there is no vehicle on the road. The idea is that each and every lamp post to have a "sensor" in order to detect the "movement" on the road in order to make the lamp "on" else should be "off". These "lamp-sensors" will have "communication" with the next lamp post and so on. regardsYukti
