- Will be responsible for coordinating, supervising and training the development team. Will be responsible for the coordination of evolutive development tasks and on-going corrections in applications, reporting directly to CTO. - Will make technical decisions regarding the architectural evolution of ideas4all applications, based on Ruby on Rails. - High-level general experience in the development of internet applications with agile methodology, and specific knowledge of Rails will be required.
- Candidates will, ideally, have experience in web application development using Ruby on Rails. - Knowledge of this platform is not indispensable, as they may acquire such knowledge during the training period, but knowledge of Internet architecture, of three-layer applications, presentation frameworks, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, MVC model, SQL database, and web and application servers will be essential. - No specific programming language will be considered indispensable, since Ruby on Rails will be used for development, but candidates must master at least some of the languages used in these architectures. Candidates are expected to learn quickly, to work autonomously in a short space of time, and should be pro-active.
- Will be responsible for SW and HW infrastructure (external hosting relations) and configuration management (environments and deployment) of ideas4all applications, both for internal business support and client support. - Current infrastructure uses apache web servers, mongrel servers and mySQL databases. - Sufficient knowledge of English to manage relations with British and American hosting providers. - The candidate will, also, be part of the Rails development team, and must therefore have knowledge of Internet architecture, of three-layer applications, presentation frameworks, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, MVC model. - Will ideally have knowledge of Ruby on Rails, although this is not indispensable, as it can be learnt during the training period. |
