Built on Multiple pipe system for reusing water at home

We wash vegetables in our kitchen and perfectly clean water is gone to the sewer system. We want to take a hot shower and running water is lost during a few minutes. Wouldn't it be nice to have a switch in the sink and a double pipe system so that we could store clean water for future use like watering. Or not so clean water to flush the toilet. The idea is to have a double or multiple pipe system and switchs in the bath tub, washbasin, and sink, and be able to reuse the water.

I think this is a great idea, but perhaps it should be easier if instead of this multiple pipe system, the big residential buildings have a simple "water treatment machine" to recycle the water from showers and sinks and conduct it directly to the toilets or other uses than do not require clean or drinkable water.

This is an exceptional idea, may be we can complicate it by filtering, a qlty check before diverting to separate storage etc.

Hi Mafalda, it's a great idea. I've been thinking about that also.
Through different systems we could use the water from washing salad, fruits, ... for irrigation ; the water from the shower for the toilet;... I believe it is not so difficul. It would be only more expensive and would have to dispense with some space for the storage. I hope that someday we do. Greetings.

    Hi Mafalda,
In America we don't have this sewing system unfortunately; but in europe they do have it.
Take a look at the following doc, hope it helps you
